Bismillah. Alhumdulillah. Wassalaatu wassalaamu ‘ala rasuulillaah. Welcome to three minutes series on 85% of Quranic Words. In this clip we will learn just 13 nouns which occur in the Quran almost 1600 times.
Every sentence of the Quran is an ayah, that is a verse. And every sign in the world, is also an ayah. Around us there are so many ayaat. Ayah (آيَةٌ), ayaat (آيَاتٌ), verses or signs. I am standing at the beach, looking at the بَحْرٌ.
بَحْرٌ – sea. On the other side, I see a big جَبَلٌ. جَبَلٌ – mountain. And three small جِبَالٌ, mountains. جِبَالٌ – mountains. On the ground, there are أَنْعَامٌ grazing the grass.
أَنْعَامٌ – cattle. The رِيْحٌ is blowing strongly. رِيْحٌ – wind. And winds mean رِيَاحٌ. رِيْحٌ – رِيَاحٌ. Oops, my cap is blown away. Thank you Allah, You gave us a beautiful أَرْضٌ, earth.
أَرْضٌ – earth. I looked up and saw the شَمْسٌ, sun. شَمْسٌ – sun. It is shining in the beautiful سَمَاءٌ. سَمَاءٌ – sky. Above us, Allah made سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٌ, seven heavens.
سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٌ – seven heavens. سَمَاءٌ – سَمَاوَتٌ. Slowly, the sun went down, and the سَمَاءٌ became dark. Now it is لَيْلٌ, night. نَهَلرٌ – day, لَيْلٌ – night.
I can see the قَمَرٌ shining beautifully in the sky. قَمَرٌ – moon. Each one of these is a بَيِّنَةٌ, clear sign. بَيِّنَةٌ – clear sign. The world around us is full of بَيِّنَاتٌ, clear signs.
بَيِّنَاتٌ – clear signs. These signs show us the greatness, care, and love of Allah (سبحانه و تعالى). Can you repeat the scene yourself using the Arabic words? If not, listen to it again.
And can you translate this simple part of a verse? (41:37) وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِ ٱلَّيْلُ وَٱلنَّهَارُ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ Remember there are approximately 78,000 words in the Quran.
